BS Holiday Update: NYE @ Kennedy Center, Satchmo Mentorship, NY Hot Jazz Camp & more
Happy Holidays my Friends!!
Tis the season for much love and indulgence and I AM READY for it! It's been an awesome month for this Sagittarius; I've had a blast playing and quite frankly rocking out to the music of Nothing Never Happens live. Thanks to everyone who's checked out the album and if you haven't yet let these entice you:
“..grittily, soulfully, with a shadowy, mid-career-Lucinda-Williams swagger and growling horn…” - All About Jazz
"Nothing Never Happens gives us the blues-soaked, sharp-edged Skonberg in all her dizzying glory.” - Nippertown
I think "swagger" is my favourite technical term to teach music students ;)
Speaking of students, the Louis Armstrong House Museum has just launched its search for the next participants of "Satchmo's Classroom" educational programs for the 2020 school year where I will mentor "career-focused, young artists to deliver a curated curriculum of dynamic interactive activities centered on the appreciation of music " The museum is looking for passionate volunteer artists interested in gaining experience teaching school groups k-12 in the museum environment.
