What a summer it has been. Some major highlights were the Sisterhood of Swing kickoff back in June, fun teaching opps, pinch-me moments sharing stages with U2/DMB and touring with my awesome band around North America which led me to meeting many of you face to face :) It was hard to see and experience the smoke from the West Coast fires and I sincerely hope everyone is recuperating.
I'm now back in New York plotting for some interesting Fall endeavors (heh heh) This summer I actually took myself "off the grid" for a couple weeks of writing new music. I eluded in another update that I'm working independent of a label because I want to have total control over what I do and say next. In a few days I'll be sharing news about my new music and how you can be part of that process. I'm excited, and I hope you are up for yet another BS adventure! :)
This month has some very interesting collaborations with the launch of a mentorship program at the Louis Armstrong House Museum and the Monterey Jazz Festival All Stars (coming to a city near you Spring 2019)! I'll be out on the road with the band AND the NY Hot Jazz Camp just opened for applications for our 4th year so.. here we go again! Thanks and love everybody, more to come!
