BS April News & Updates

It might as well be Spring.... Hey Everybody! It's officially the next season; I had a double down of daylight savings this year, once in New York and once in Hungary. Hopefully I get both those hours back down the road :) Keeping the spring in my step, I'm happy to share some highlights coming up in the next month.....

Hey Everybody!

It's officially the next season; I had a double down of daylight savings this year, once in New York and once in Hungary. Hopefully I get both those hours back down the road :) Keeping the spring in my step, I'm happy to share some highlights coming up in the next month.....

This weekend I'm going for my first time to the Canadian JUNO Awards! I'm thrilled to be nominated for Vocal Jazz Album Of The Year and am so very grateful to the literally hundreds of people that made this album come together. Some of my best University friends are also nominated so it's going to be a blast! CLICK TO READ a Spotlight article from Ottawa Life Magazine about it.

On the way there (sort of) this Thursday I'll be playing at the Arsht Cente in Miami for their 11th Season Gala Concert: A Celebration of Women in the Arts. Performers/presenters include Vanessa Williams, Gloria Estefan, Storm Large (Pink Martini), Nicole Henry and comedian Tig Notaro of who I'm a big fan!

April 10th launches the first NY HOT JAZZ CAMP youth initiative with three sessions during spring break. Students 10-15 are encouraged to bring instruments and come learn about the building blocks of jazz from a fabulous local faculty. We are grateful to our individual sponsors who have made this effort possible. If you are interested in and able to sponsor a student, please send us an email at info@nyhotjazzcamp.com There are still a few spots left for the adult camp in May!

Thanks always! I have some BIG news coming in the next letter about my next wave of music.. to be continued :)

One of the BEST parts of this JUNO nomination is that my close Capilano University Jazz Studies friends Amanda Tosoff and Cat Toren are also nominated for their own

projects. Case and point, surround yourself with people that inspire and challenge you

and everyone wins.

THANK YOU all who voted; Can't wait to meet the other nominees!
